Why I love using Unrefined and Raw Shea Butter

Greetings,

I use unrefined and raw Shea Butter daily, for the following reasons. Shea butter, derived from the nuts of the shea tree, is a natural ingredient that has been used in various cultures for its numerous benefits.

  • Shea butter is highly moisturising and acts as an excellent emollient. It helps to hydrate and nourish the skin, making it softer and smoother. It can be particularly beneficial for dry and dehydrated skin, including areas prone to roughness like elbows, knees and heels.

  • Shea butter contains a rich profile of vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids that provide essential nutrients to the skin. It helps to improve skin elasticity and suppleness. The vitamins A and E contribute to healthier looking skin.

  • Shea butter possesses anti-inflammatory properties, making it useful for soothing and calming irritated skin. It can help alleviate symptoms associated with conditions like eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis.

  • Shea butter contains antioxidants, such as vitamins A and E, which can help protect the skin from free radicals and environmental damage.

  • Unrefined shea butter undergoes minimal processing, which helps it retain its natural nutrients. It retains a higher concentration of vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids that are beneficial for the skin and hair.
  • Unrefined shea butter has a distinct nutty aroma, which I prefer.

Wholeness, love and light 💚
